Haunted Dybbuk Box Auctioned on EBay

HAUNTED DYBBUK BOX

The term "Dybbuk Box" was first created and used by Kevin Mannis to describe a wine cabinet in the item information for an eBay auction and as the subject of his original story describing paranormal events which he related to the box.

A dybbuk is a restless, usually malicious, spirit believed to be able to haunt and even possess the living

Mannis, a writer and creative professional by trade, owned a small antiques and furniture refinishing business in Portland, Oregon at the time.

According to Mannis' story, he bought the box at an estate sale in 2003. It had belonged to a Polish Holocaust survivor named Havela, who had escaped to Spain and purchased it there before her immigration to the United States.

Havela's granddaughter told Mannis that the box had been bought in Spain after the Holocaust. Upon hearing that the box was a family heirloom, Mannis offered to give the box back to the family but the granddaughter insisted that he take it. "We don't want it." She said. She told him the box had been kept in her grandmother's sewing room and was never opened because a dybbuk was said to live inside it.

Upon opening the box, Mannis wrote that he found that it contained two 1920s pennies, a lock of blonde hair bound with cord, a lock of black/brown hair bound with cord, a small statue engraved with the Hebrew word "Shalom", a small, golden wine goblet, one dried rose bud, and a single candle holder with four octopus-shaped legs.

Numerous owners of the box have reported that strange phenomena accompany it.

In his story, Mannis wrote that he experienced a series of horrific nightmares shared with other people while they were in possession of the box or when they stayed at his home while he had it. His mother suffered a stroke on the same day he gave her the box as a birthday present — October 28.

Every owner of the box has reported that smells of cat urine or jasmine flowers and nightmares involving an old hag accompany the box.

Iosif Neitzke, a Missouri student at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri and the last person to auction the box on eBay, claimed that the box caused lights to burn out in his house and his hair to fall out.

Jason Haxton, Director of the Museum of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, had been following Neitzke's blogs regarding the box and when he was ready to be rid of the box Neitzke sold it to Haxton. Haxton wrote The Dybbuk Box, and claimed that he subsequently developed strange health problems, including hives, coughing up blood, and "head-to-toe welts".

Haxton consulted with Rabbis (Jewish religious leaders) to try to figure out a way to seal the dybbuk in the box again. Apparently successful, he took the freshly resealed box and hid it at a secret location, which he will not reveal.

The Selfie Instagram Peaches Posted with The Unexplained hand

Peaches Geldof and The Ghostly Hand

Peaches Honeyblossom Geldof-Cohen[ (13 March 1989 – 7 April 2014) was an English journalist, television presenter and model. She was the second daughter of musician and Live Aid founder Bob Geldof, and the late television presenter Paula Yates.

On 7 April 2014, Peaches Geldof died, at the age of 25, at her home in Wrotham, Kent.

The initial Kent Police statement read: "At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden".

On the 12/03/2013 approximately 1 year before her death 'Peaches' took a Selfie of herself and her daughter 'Astala' with her camera.

But when she looked at her picture, she noticed what looked like a mysterious third party: a translucent hand of what looks like a ghost just above her shoulder.

Geldof, 24, posted the spooky selfie on Instagram, and believed the haunting hand belongs to the spirit of a woman who committed suicide in her home 100 years ago after delivering a stillborn baby.

"The house was built in the 1920s by a rich man and his pregnant wife," Geldorf said, according to the Daily Mail. " However, his wife had a stillborn baby and was so grief-stricken she went mad.

She apparently drowned herself in the bath."

Geldof insisted that the mystery hand is not hers. !!

Her instagram read as:

Close up shot of the mystery ghost hand in pic I took of Astala and me In the bath!! And no that isn't my hand -- one of mine was round his waist to hold him during the photo, the other holding the camera to take the shot. Also the hand is around my shoulder so totally weird angle if I did it myself!! How terrifying!! I am sh*$#*ng myself! #haunted #ghost.

1 Year later Peaches was dead:

According to the Daly Mail UK :

Officers found 'no hard drugs, no suicide note, no visible signs of injury', it has been claimed

Police found the 25-year-old's body at home in Wrotham, Kent, at 1.35pm, and described the death as 'sudden' and 'unexplained'.

There was heroin in her system and it was said it COULD have played a role in her death but that is not conclusive.

Peaches claimed she often felt a ghostly presence in the house.

Question to be asked is what or who's hand was that near her neck and why was it there ?

Some of The Flatwood Monster Witnesses

News Headlines in 1950s regarding monster

The Flatwoods Monster

In September 1952, a UFO was reported to have crashed in the forest by some people living in Flatwoods, a small town in Braxton County, West Virginia.

At 7:15 PM on September 12, 1952, two brothers, Edward and Fred May, and their friend Tommy Hyer (ages 13, 12, and 10 respectively) witnessed a bright object cross the sky. The object appeared to come to rest on land belonging to local farmer G. Bailey Fisher.

Upon witnessing the object, the boys went to the home of the May brothers' mother, Kathleen May, where they reported seeing a UFO crash land in the hills. From there, Mrs. May accompanied by the three boys, local children Neil Nunley (14) and Ronnie Shaver (10), and 17-year-old West Virginia National Guardsman Eugene 'Gene' Lemon, traveled to the Fisher farm in an effort to locate whatever it was that the boys had seen.

A 17-year-old National Guardsman, Eugene "Gene" Lemon, was sent to investigate this phenomenon by authorities.

According to some eyewitnesses, the so-called "UFO" crashed in a forested area, so Gene and his dog went to investigate the woods. It was 8:00 p.m. and very dark, so Gene brought his flashlight with him.

Gene's dog ran ahead of him out of sight and began barking, then returned to Gene with its tail tucked in between its legs. It was frightened by something. They reached the top of a hill, where they noticed a large pulsating ball of flame. Gene and his dog also detected a pungent mist or odor in the air that made their eyes and noses burn. Gene caught a glimpse of a strange creature underneath the oak tree using his flashlight.

The creature was reptilian-like, had a spade-shaped head, stubby arms, and claw-like fingers, and was reportedly ten feet tall. The creature made a shrill hissing noise and glided towards them, but abruptly changed direction and headed towards the pulsating ball of flame.

Afterwards, Gene and his dog fled in panic, scared out of their wits.

After this encounter, the police investigated the area in the forest where the creature and the ball of flame were reported to be, but they found no evidence of the encounter and did not even smell the burning odor that Gene and his dog had smelled.

Gene became very sick and suffered from vomiting and convulsions throughout the night, and he also had difficulties with his throat for several weeks afterward. Gene's dog also became very sick and died.

Sixty years have passed since the incident, but the case of the Flatwoods Monster is still unexplained.

UFO in Chile Has Them Baffled

The government office investigating UFOs in Chile has released an analysis of two high quality photos showing what appear be genuine .

Pictures of a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) taken on a crystal clear day by workers 14,000 feet above sea level in a very remote part of Chile have stumped a Chilean government office which investigates such phenomena.

The photos, taken by one of the four technicians employed at the remote Collahuasi copper mine in the Andean plateau of north of Chile, were never intended to be disseminated and the workers themselves had agreed not to report the sighting to authorities because of the negative associations they had with UFO sightings.

However some months after the sighting, the photographer casually showed the pictures to the chief engineer at the mine who asked for copies and the engineer is the one who later sent them to the CEFAA agency (the equivalent of the FAA in America) in February.

The workers still do not wish to talk about the incident that they say happened in April 2013.

They said they saw a disc-shaped object which approached the area slowly and was present for more than an hour within sight of them and that it moved around in different positions and was hovering at an elevation of about 2000 feet. The object made no sound and eventually moved away from their view, they said.

The men said it appeared to them the craft was under intelligent control. One technician took photos with a Kenox Samsung S860 camera.

The workers described what they saw as a flattened disc, of brilliant color, with a diameter of 5 to 10 meters [16 to 32 feet] and they say it performed ascending, descending and horizontal movements in short lengths, about 600 meters above the ground.

Navy physicist Bruce Maccabee thinks Chile’s UFO sighting is not a hoax:

“In the second image there appears to be a very bright hemispherical shape, convex downward… possibly a UFO enveloped in a cloud of vapor. This is clearly not a normal thing seen in the sky (bird, plane, cloud, etc.). That makes it either the real thing – UFO – or a hoax, and it doesn’t appear to be a hoax."

Picture taken of the Cancer Ghost
Woods House Ghosts
Ed and Mary Woods and their two daughters moved into a house in Vancouver, Washington, and seven months later, strange events began occuring.

Mary claimed that she began hearing the sound of a music box playing, but could not find one, and continued to hear it for several times. Ed claimed that one time he was in his office with the door closed and he heard someone playing with it, and when he looked, he found that nobody there.

Ghost of woman with cancer

Then, Mary saw the figure of a woman wearing a scarf around her head and a long flannel nightgown.

She found that the ghost was of a former resident, and it apparently began checking on her kids, who had the same bedroom as the ghost's kids when she was alive.

The local newspaper did a story about the Woods' home, and a woman, who was a friend of the deceased one may be attached to the home because she was practically identical to her in life.

River Gambler Ghost
Ed later saw the figure of a man standing in his room that appeared to be a riverboat gambler with a ribbon tie and moustache.

Another apparition seen by both Ed and Mary is a little girl whom they call "Pinky" that giggles all of the time she is seen.

Another spirit was never seen but was felt was in the shower. It apparently hugs or even rubs the people that are in it. When Ed's son came to visit, he also felt the strange shower ghost, along with Mary. Another strange event is things being knocked over or floating throughout the house.

The Woods' house was on 37th Street in Vancouver, Washington. Mary found through research that the woman with the scarf on her head was a former resident who had died from cancer in the house in 1974, and had worn scarves and nightgowns before her death.

A ghost expert named Lloyd Auerbach investigated the Woods' home. When he first visited, he used a magnatometer that spiked several times, most notably in the bathroom, the living room, and the hallway, where most of the supernatural phenomena occur.

He felt that there appeared to be no natural explanation for what was happening there

The Missile launch pictured off the coast of California

Pentagon calls mystery missile ' Unexplained'

A missile launch off the southern coast off California remains "unexplained"

NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) and NORTHCOM (United States Northern Command) officials told Fox there was no threat.

However, Pentagon Spokesman Colonel Dave Lapan would not confirm that because the military does not know what the missile was or where it came from.

Col Lapan added that the incident did not appear to be a regularly scheduled test, as no warnings to mariners or airmen appeared to be issued ahead of its launch.

The contrail was caught on camera by a KCBS news helicopter at around sunset Monday evening, approximately 50km out to sea and west of Los Angeles.

The missile appeared to be launched from the water, and not from US soil, Col Lapan added.

The military was trying to solve the mystery using the video from KCBS as there was no indication that NORAD and NORTHCOM were able to detect it independently.

According to Fox News, NORAD and NORTHCOM would only say they were aware of the launch.

However one unnamed senior defense official added: "There was no threat to the homeland."

A navy spokesperson previously told KCBS that no navy activity was reported in the region.

A sergeant at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara County said a Delta II rocket was launched from the base last Friday, but insisted there were no launches since then.

On viewing the footage, former deputy defense secretary Robert Ellsworth speculated on KCBS that the launch could be a show of military muscle.

"It could be a test-firing of an intercontinental ballistic missile from a submarine ... to demonstrate, mainly to Asia, that we can do that," Mr Ellsworth said.

As yet the pentagon has offered no explanation ?

            Dee Why beach UFO

Dee why beach NSW Australia -Witnesses reported a UFO sighting experience that happened on Wednesday, June 4. One witness recounted seeing the bright, disc-like object over Dee Why beach on early Wednesday morning while the other claimed spotting the bright light at the same day and time on the Central Coast

According to the Telegraph report, the witnesses at Dee Why beach were wondering what the bright object was in the sky while a woman, who is over 80 km from Dee Why, claims she also spotted the same bright object that day at approximately 6:30 am

Trudy Bright, a Kulnura photographer, shared about seeing the bright light "right up and down the coast and out of the whole sky." The witness further added that she was able to capture a couple of pictures before the unidentified flying object took off

Witnesses were reported   as saying this was not a plane" and are convinced they witnessed a UFO from unknown origin

The DeeWhy UFO

About 20 or more people saw the object

A lot of people were gazing skywards, about 20 or 30, and I asked what it was,”

Don Jeffrey (who took the photos) said:

it stayed in the same spot for 10 minutes and it looked like it had a tail"

UFO Research NSW spokesman Doug Moffett, in a previous interview with the Manly Daily, said he was not surprised by the report because UFO sightings were quite common on the northern beaches.

“I know there’s been many stories in The Manly Daily over the years, particularly around the Narrabeen Lakes area,’’ he said.

“It tends to be an area where from time to time there seems to be activity.

We are not sure of course why that’s the case.”

Due to the amount of unexplained activity some claim there is a hidden UFO base deep in the ocean near there..

Varginha Alien

            Varginha UFO incident

is the name given to a series of events involving the alleged sighting and capture by the military of an extraterrestrial being in Varginha, Brazil, in 1996. Such reports were first broadcast on the Sunday TV show Fantástico of Rede Globo, and quickly gathered extensive media coverage worldwide, including an article in The Wall Street Journal, and has become since then the most famous case in modern Brazilian ufology.

The Brazilian government has officially denied any claims of being involved in the capture of EBEs, but some theorists claim otherwise, accusing the government of a cover up.

Varginha City has a symbol of the Varginha Incident

According to media reports, the creature was first sighted by three women ranging from 14 to 21 years old: sisters Liliane and Valquíria Fátima Silva, and their friend Kátia Andrade Xavier. They saw the creature in the afternoon of January 20, 1996 a biped about 1.6 metres (5 ft), with a large head and very thin body, with V-shaped feet, brown skin, and large red eyes. It seemed to be wobbly or unsteady, and the girls assumed it was injured or sick

The Silva sisters say they fled, then told their mother that they had seen the devil. She didn’t believe them at first, but when she went to the area where they had allegedly seen the creature and smelled a strong ammonia-like odor, her opinion changed. After relating their tale to family and friends, rumors began to spread throughout the city: UFOs were sighted, aliens were captured. Two days later, another creature was allegedly found lying along a road.

Three military trucks were sent to retrieve it. It was captured by S2 officials (Brazil's military intelligence), and sent to a hospital to be examined.[citation needed l As related by Moffett in the Wall Street Journal, "The army finds itself besieged on several fronts.

A local mystic predicts that Varginha will suffer some kind of cataclysm this September as retribution for its blitzkrieg on the interplanetary visitors. An armed-forces news conference marking 'Victory Day' in World War II degenerated into a shouting match between a general and a television reporter pressing him about the extraterrestrials.

An official briefing to debunk UFO conspiracies was overshadowed by an auto mechanic's claim to have seen yet another weird cylindrical aircraft, a cosmic encounter he re-enacted with the aid of an aluminum coffee thermos ... Stanton Friedman, a Canada-based UFO expert, says Varginha has the makings of a 'cosmic Watergate.'"

                 Ötzi the Iceman

the Similaun Man, the Man from Hauslabjoch, Homo tyrolensis, and the Hauslabjoch mummy: is a well-preserved natural mummy of a man who lived around 3,300 BCE.The mummy was found in September 1991 in the Ötztal Alps, hence the nickname "Ötzi", near the Similaun mountain and Hauslabjoch on the border between Austria and Italy. He is Europe's oldest known natural human mummy.

Oetzithe Murder

Ötzi the Iceman while still frozen in the glacier

On 19 September 1991, Ötzi was found by two German tourists from Nuremberg, Helmut and Erika Simon, at 3,210 metres (10,530 ft) on the east ridge of the Fineilspitze in the Ötztal Alps on the Austrian–Italian border, while walking off the path between the mountain passes Hauslabjoch and Tisenjoch. They believed that the body was of a recently deceased mountaineer.

The next day, a mountain gendarme and the keeper of the nearby Similaunhütte first attempted to remove the body, which was frozen in ice below the torso, using a pneumatic drill and ice-axes, but had to give up due to bad weather.

The next day, eight groups visited the site, amongst whom happened to be the famous mountaineers Hans Kammerlander and Reinhold Messner. The body was semi-officially extracted on 22 September and officially salvaged the following day. It was transported to the University of Innsbruck, where it was recognized to be primeval the same day.

The Ötzi memorial near Tisenjoch

By current estimates, at the time of his death Ötzi was approximately 1.65 metres (5 ft 5 in) tall, weighed about 50 kilograms (110 lb; 7.9 st) and was about 45 years of age. When his body was found, it weighed 13.750 kg (30.25 lb).

Because the body was covered in ice shortly after his death, it had only partially deteriorated. Analysis of pollen, dust grains and the isotopic composition of his tooth enamel indicates that he spent his childhood near the present village of Feldthurns, north of Bolzano, but later went to live in valleys about 50 kilometres farther north

In 2009, a CAT scan revealed that the stomach had shifted upward to where his lower lung area would normally be. Analysis of the contents revealed the partly digested remains of ibex meat, confirmed by DNA analysis, suggesting he had a meal less than two hours before his death. Wheat grains were also found.

Ötzi's clothes were sophisticated. He wore a cloak made of woven grass and a coat, a belt, a pair of leggings, a loincloth and shoes, all made of leather of different skins. He also wore a bearskin cap with a leather chin strap. The shoes were waterproof and wide, seemingly designed for walking across the snow; they were constructed using bearskin for the soles, deer hide for the top panels, and a netting made of tree bark.

In May 2012, scientists announced the discovery that Ötzi still had intact blood cells. These are the oldest blood cells ever identified. In most bodies this old, the blood cells are either shrunken or mere remnants, but Ötzi's have the same dimensions as living red blood cells and resembled a modern-day sample. In 2001 X-rays and a CT scan revealed that Ötzi had an arrowhead lodged in his left shoulder when he died, and a matching small tear on his coat.

The discovery of the arrowhead prompted researchers to theorize Ötzi died of blood loss from the wound, which would probably have been fatal even if modern medical techniques had been available. Further research found that the arrow's shaft had been removed before death, and close examination of the body found bruises and cuts to the hands, wrists and chest and cerebral trauma indicative of a blow to the head

Exactly how/why he died will remain a mystery

10 Unusual Deaths

1) 258 AD: The martyr Saint Lawrence was roasted alive on a giant grill during the persecution of Valerian Prudentius tells that he joked with his tormentors, "Turn me over — I'm done on this side".He is now the patron saint of cooks and firefighters.

2) 455 BC: Aeschylus, the great Athenian author of tragedies. Valerius Maximus wrote that he was killed by a tortoise dropped by an eagle that had mistaken his head for a rock suitable for shattering the shell of the reptile. Pliny, in his Naturalis Historiæ, adds that Aeschylus had been staying outdoors to avert a prophecy that he would be killed by a falling object.

3) 401 BC: Mithridates, a soldier who embarrassed his king, Artaxerxes II, by boasting of killing his rival, Cyrus the Younger, was executed by scaphism. The king's physician, Ctesias, reported that he survived the insect torture for 17 days.

  • 4) 270 BC: Philitas of Cos, Greek intellectual, is said by Athenaeus to have studied arguments and erroneous word usage so intensely that he wasted away and starved to death. British classicist Alan Cameron speculates that Philitas died from a wasting disease which his contemporaries joked was caused by his pedantry.
  •

     Rock Martians Found On Mars

One of The Big Questions of the 21st Century is .

Is There life on mars ?

Well we at mysteriesunexplained.com think there is and we have evidence to back it up

watch our video on youtube or in our video area for the proof of life on mars.

Do Not expect the life on mars to be as you think it might be such as( little green men)

no it is something entirely different and we aren't talking about microbes. !

We are talking about walking possible intelligence (of what level we do not know as yet)?.

To explain how we came to this conclusion , we have watched many videos come into youtube and other websites describing the antics of moving rocks on mars and no-doubt you have seen pictures of such and  it has puzzled many..even puzzled NASA at times !!

We have found a picture from the rover :

PIA16239 High-Resolution Self-Portrait by Curiosity Rover Arm Camera

    link is here

    http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/msl/multimedia/pia16239.html

Through much study of this picture we have found some unusual looking anomilies that just don't fit in as part of the general foreground//background scenery of mars, and after careful scrutiny we are convinced these are not part of the surrounding rockery they are actual living anomalies using the surrounding rocks as cover an example from EARTH being of a hermit crab though these martians are much much bigger.

These beings seem to use the rocks as a dwelling place and unless you look very carefuly you could easily bypass them thinking it was just a rocky outcrop..

Like animals here on earth they have developed a survival skill of adaptation to the surroundings

    The Oakville Blobs

On August 7, 1994, in Oakville, Washington at 3:00 AM, rain began to fall, blanketing a 20 square mile area. Though rain is common in the area, residents began to note that the rain was not water but a strange, gelatinous substance they had never seen before.

Over a period of three weeks, the rain would fall a total of six times. At the time the rain first began to fall, officer David Lacey was on patrol with a civilian friend.

When he turned his windshield wipers on, they smeared the rain against the glass instead of washing it off. The obscured windshield forced David to pull into a gas station to try and clean it manually, after donning a pair of latex gloves for safety.

David described the substance as being "very mushy, almost like if you had jello in your hand." Local resident Dotty Hearn stepped outside after the rain had stopped and noticed the substance was everywhere. At first, the rice-sized blobs looked like hailstones to her but, when she touched them, she noticed that they had an odd gelatinous texture.

By the afternoon that day, David, Dotty, and various other residents had become mysteriously and violently ill. They described having difficulty breathing, extreme vertigo, blurred vision, and an increasing sense of nausea.

Beverly Roberts, another resident of the area, said that everyone in town contracted a flu-like illness that lasted two to three months. Additionally, several cats and dogs that came into contact with the substance fell ill and died. An hour after first noticing her symptoms, Dotty was found sprawled on her bathroom floor, conscious but very weak. Sunny Barclift, her daughter, described Dotty as feeling cold and sweat-drenched and looking pale. Dotty was moved to a hospital where she stayed for three days and was diagnosed with a severe inner ear infection.

As Dotty was being moved to the hospital, Sunny remembered the odd rain and, thinking there might be a connection to her mother's illness, collected a sample and sent it to the hospital. A lab technician examined the substance and found that it contained human white blood cells but couldn't identify what it was or how it came from the sky. The sample was quickly sent to the Washington State Department of Health for further study. Mike McDowell, a microbiologist at the department, noted that the substance was teeming with two species of bacteria, one of which lives in the human digestive system.

Because of Mike's findings, the substance was initially speculated to be human waste from an airplane, but Federal Aviation Administration regulations require waste from airplanes to be dyed blue, while the substance was perfectly clear. Furthermore, regulations forbid pilots from releasing this "blue ice" in mid-flight. Nearly a year after Dotty fell ill, she mailed a sample of the substance she had stored in her freezer to AmTest

Laboratories, a private research lab. There, while analyzing the sample, Tim Davis, another microbiologist, believed he saw an Eukaryotic cell; complex, nucleus-containing cells that are present in most living creatures. This meant that the substance is or had been alive. One theory as to the rain's origins was that one of the military's naval bombing runs at sea had accidentally destroyed a school of jellyfish and sent their pieces flying into the atmosphere, Star Jelly) where they settled in Oakville, 50 miles inland.

The distance the jellyfish parts would have to travel, the number of times the rain fell, and the lack of any rotting smell in the substance put this theory in doubt to most residents. While the air force confirms that they were doing practice bombing runs over the Pacific in August 1994, they deny knowledge of the substance or any involvement in creating or dispersing it. The locals of Oakville are skeptical of this; prior to the rain, many Oakville residents noticed a significant - almost daily - amount of slow-moving military aircraft in the skies above their town. Some believe Oakville was the site of a military experiment, designed to test a new biological weapon or to test the possible damage a biological attack on U.S. soil could do.

No samples of the substance exist today.

The Children of Llullaillaco or Children of the Cold are mummies discovered by Dr. Johan Reinhard and his archaeological team on 16 March 1999 at Mount Llullaillaco, which lies on the border of Chile and Argentina. The burial is believed to have taken place 500 years before. They are said to be the best preserved Inca mummies of all time.

Three days into their search for Inca sacrifice sites, Reinhard's team discovered the grave site containing two girls and one boy. Several gold, shell and silver statues, textiles and pottery were also found. The younger girl's body had been struck by lightning, causing burn damage across her body. The other two mummies remained in good condition. Statues made of precious metals and textiles were among the grave goods found.

    La Doncella on display

The oldest mummy, a girl found to be around the age of fifteen, was dubbed "La Doncella" which translates to "The Maiden". A bacterial infection was discovered in her lungs during an examination.

She wore a dress with her hair braided, along with a headdress. DNA testing indicated that the two girls were half sisters, where the boy had no relation. La Doncella had been drugged by coca leaves and a maize beer known as chicha, dying in her sleep, which was also present on the other mummies.

It is believed that La Doncella was an aclla, or Sun Virgin. That is, she was chosen and sanctified as a toddler to live with other girls and women who would become royal wives, priestesses, and sacrifices. The practice of ritual sacrifice in the Inca society was to ensure health, rich harvests and prefereable weather.

"La niña del rayo", or "Lightning Girl" was approximately six years old when she was sacrificed. Her face and part of her shoulder were damaged by a lightning strike that occurred after her death.

The body of the boy had been tightly wrapped, as some of his ribs and pelvis were dislocated. He apparently died under stress, as vomit and diarrhea was found on his clothing. He was the only child that was tied up.

The mummies remain on display at the Museum of High Altitude Archaeology in Argentina.

    The Screaming Man

    The Screaming Man

The Screaming Man Over 100 years ago an unidentified mummy was found lying alongside some of the most famous pharaohs in Egyptian history but his face is locked in an eternal scream. What caused this mans haunting expression? Why wasn’t he mummified according to custom? The Screaming Man, also known as "Unknown Man E," was discovered in 1881.

He was buried near the Valley of the Kings alongside members of Egyptian royalty. Unknown Man E was found covered in a quicklime paste, unheard of in the Egyptian tradition, wrapped in a sheepskin -- an object considered unclean for ancient Egyptians - and bound at the wrist and ankle.

The ancient Egyptians' process of mummification was carried out according to clearly defined routines and religious principles, in order to prepare the body for the next world. Chemicals were used to dry the body out, a process which could last as long as 40 days.

Then the body was coated with oils, painted with melted resins, and finally wrapped tightly in linen. Unknown Man E was mummified but denied any of the protective magic which would allow him to reach the next world, and some scholars believe that this, together with the animal skin found on the mummy, may indicate an intentional attempt to damn this man.

The transition to the afterlife was so perilous that the ancient Egyptians tried to equip themselves with as much magical protection as possible. The markings of the tomb walls were intended to assist or protect the deceased on his journey to the next world, and they were buried with The Book of the Dead, a collection of spells or magic formulas.

Some believe that Unknown Man E was a disgraced royal prince, son of Ramses III, the last great pharaoh of the New Kingdom.

    Giant of Castelnau

The Giant of Castelnau was a fossil bone discovery which may represent one of the largest humans known to have existed. The bones, found in a Bronze Age burial tumulus, date back to the Neolithic period and consisted of a humerus, tibia, and femoral mid-shaft. The scientist who made the discovery in 1890 estimated from the bone size that the human may have been over three meters tall.

The bones were discovered by the anthropologists Georges Vacher de Lapouge at the Bronze Age cemetery of Castelnau-le-Lez, France in the winter of 1890. His findings were published in the journal La Nature, Vol. 18, 1890 Issue 888.

The height of the individual was estimated at about 3.5 m (11 ft 6 in) according to de Lapouge, and the bones were dated to the Neolithic period, since they were found at the very bottom of the Bronze Age burial tumulus. The journal includes a photo engraving of what was identified as the humerus, tibia, and femoral mid-shaft of the giant compared to a normal size humerus in the center.

Writing in the journal La Nature, de Lapouge describes the bones in detail: "I think it unnecessary to note that these bones are undeniably human, despite their enormous size.... The first is the middle part of the shaft of a femur, 14 cm length, almost cylindrical in shape, and the circumference of the bone is 16 cm.... The second piece is the middle and upper part of the shaft of a tibia.... The circumference is 13 cm at the nutrient foramen.... the length of fragment is 26 cm.... The third, very singular, was regarded by good anatomists as the lower part of a humerus.... The volumes of the bones were more than double the normal pieces to which they correspond. Judging by the usual intervals of anatomical points, they also involve lengths almost double.... The subject would have been a likely size of 3m.

The bones of the Castelnau giant were studied at the University of Montpellier and examined by M. Sabatier, professor of Zoology, at the University of Montpellier, and M. Delage, professor of paleontology at the University of Montpellier, in addition to other anatomists. In 1892 the bones were carefully studied by Dr. Paul Louis André Kiener, professor of pathological anatomy at Montpellier School of Medicine, for which he admitted they represented a "very tall race", but nevertheless found them abnormal in dimensions and apparently of "morbid growth

    Chronovisor Time Viewer

The chronovisor is a time viewer it was built by Pellegrino Ernetti (1925–1994), an Italian priest and scientist described by Father François Brune in his 2002 book Le nouveau mystère du Vatican ("The Vatican’s New Mystery").

In the early 1960s, Father Ernetti began to study the writings of François Brune, himself a Roman Catholic priest and author. Ernetti allegedly ended up helping Father Brune construct the machine as members of a team which included twelve world-famous scientists.

He identified two of them as Enrico Fermi and Wernher von Braun. The chronovisor was described as a large cabinet with a cathode ray tube for viewing the received events and a series of buttons, levers, and other controls for selecting the time and the location to be viewed. It could also locate and track specific individuals. According to its inventor, it worked by receiving, decoding and reproducing the electromagnetic radiation left behind from past events. It could also pick up the audio component or sound waves emitted by these same events.

Ernetti lacked hard evidence for these claims. He said that he had observed, among other historical events, Christ's crucifixion and photographed it as well. A copy of this image, Ernetti said, appeared in the 2 May 1972 issue of La Domenica del Corriere, an Italian weekly news magazine. A near-identical (mirror-image) photograph, however, of a wood carving by the sculptor Cullot Valera turned up and succeeded in casting doubt upon Ernetti's statement.

Using the chronovisor, Ernetti said that he had witnessed, among other scenes, a performance in Rome in 169 BCE of the lost tragedy, Thyestes, by the father of Latin poetry, Quintus Ennius. Dr. Katherine Owen Eldred of Princeton University is the author of an English rendition of the text which is included as an appendix to the American printing of Peter Krassa's book on the Chronovisor

Doctor Eldred believes that Father Ernetti actually wrote the supposedly ancient play himself. As provided by an anonymous relative of Father Ernetti, there was a deathbed confession, included in the American edition of the play, that Ernetti had written the text of the play himself and that the "photo" of Christ was indeed a "lie". According to the same "source", however, Ernetti also affirmed that the machine was genuinely functional.

Father Brune, however, does not believe Ernetti's "confession" and is convinced that the authorities had coerced Ernetti into making a false confession.

The alleged existence of the chronovisor has fueled a whole series of conspiracy theories such as that the device was seized and is actually used by the Vatican or by those who secretly control governments and their economies all around the world.

    MH370 -A Mystery Unexplained

We feel Flight MH370 deserves a place in our Unexplained Mysteries website ,the mystery continues to deepen daily

MH370 is the most bizarre disappearance in commercial aviation history that has gripped a world desperate for answers.

Rescuers have so far been unable to find signs of the missing plane carrying 239 people, the plane disappeared March 8 on a flight to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur as of 3/04/2014 there are still no factual clues as to it's whereabouts.

The perplexing turn of events started just as MH370 reached cruising altitude about 50 minutes into the 6½-hour overnight flight from Kuala Lumpur when the plane's Aircraft Communications and Reporting System was switched off at 1.07am on Saturday, March 8.

Last communication with the pilots was at 1.19am and two minutes later the plane's transponders stopped.

The transponders give off data on the plane's speed and altitude which is picked up by air traffic control secondary radar and/or base stations.

MH370 with 239 passengers and crew then turned west, climbed to 45,000ft before descending to 23,000ft and then down to 5000ft to try to avoid military primary radar. The Boeing 777 crossed the Malaysian Peninsula and military radar contact was lost over the Straits of Malacca.

It is not possible for the plane to fly such a course with multiple changes by itself.

Authorities say until then its “movements were consistent with deliberate action by someone on the plane’’ but have not ruled out anything, including mechanical error.

Recovery of the plane's black boxes will be paramount but the voice recorder which is on a loop will only have the last 30 minutes of the flight - which will probably be silence.

    Many questions go unanswered :

Was it a hijacking ? Was it a Fire? Was it an engine malfunction?, was it a pilot error? or was it something more Sinister and Mysterious ?

The events when contact was lost with MH370 and it turned west will almost certainly remain a mystery.
